Adam Lambert Unleashes Two More Tracks Off The Original High... While We All Slept

At this rate we are going to hear Adam Lambert's upcoming third studio album, The Original High, in full before its June 16 release date. We all okay with that?.... Just checking.

Following the premiere of the effort's official dance-worthy lead single "Ghost Town" and the release of R&B-leaning countdown single "Underground", the suave glam rocker teased devoted fans with two brand new tracks from the anticipated album... while we were all asleep, dreaming of his smoldering good looks. How rude.

While the newly released tracks are not his collaborations with Tove Lo or Brian May *sadface, we do get the infectious, genre-hopping "Evil In The Night", which finds Lambert tempted by the risky sexual seductions of his lover. With roots in the rock, electronic and dance genres, the artist, and his talented producers, effortlessly create a ballad-like stomper that wouldn't sound out of place on the dance floor... or in the S&M dungeon hidden in your very own basement.

Not since "For Your Entertainment" have we heard the reigning pop king so eager to share his darker, sexual fantasies. What the track has working for it, besides a killer beat, is the focus on Lambert's exquisite vocals that shine even with all the background noise fighting for the same attention. The songwriting may get a bit repetitive, "baby, you're love is a crime, danger by the day, but you're evil in the night", he belts, but this is definitely the uptempo tune we've waited for.

The second released track, the similarly night-themed "Another Lonely Night", is a slightly more tamed number that teeters on the border of traditional ballad and finger-snapping uptempo summery pop tune. Lambert looks back on a presumably lost love as he admits to doing anything to get them back by his side. More heartfelt than its sexually-charged partner, the track highlights the artist's somber emotions and search for love.

"No time to sleep, all that I see, are old memories of you, I try my best, but there's no one left, for me to lose," the artist sings on the track's hook before an interesting mix of influences compose the backdrop for the upbeat, but unfortunately heartbreaking, chorus. Could you picture Lambert in bed, alone, without me there to cuddle him?... Yeah, neither could I. While it may not be the best of the released tracks, it holds it own among the artist's eclectic catalog.

Glamberts, are "Evil In The Night" and "Another Lonely Night" getting you excited for The Original High? Sound off!
