Skin Tone: Light to Medium with warm undertones
Skin Type: Combination
Hi Everyone,
ColourPop recently released new satin lip shades as part of their 2018 spring collection. I love ColourPop ultra satin lip formula. They are one of the most comfortable matte liquid lipsticks. Today I will review the shade Asher. So let’s see how this lipstick fared.
Price:
$6.00 USD for 0.11 oz.
Product Description:
Ultra Satin Lip A creamy, bold lipstick with a satin finish. This formula has the same high percentage of pigments as an Ultra Matte Lip but contains emollient ingredients for added moisture, keeping lips looking fresh and feeling super comfortable. Though this lipstick is super long-wearing, it is not completely kiss-proof and does transfer.
My Experience with ColourPop Asher Ultra Satin Lip:
Packaging: The packaging is a pretty standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side mentioning ColourPop Ultra Satin. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Asher.” The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a standard doe foot type. The product comes in a pink cardboard box with the name of the product and the ingredients list.
Shade and Finish: “Asher” is described as a ‘true blue pink’ and it is indeed a very stunning bluish pink shade with cool undertones. This shade will suit light to medium skin tone. When you first apply the lipstick, it will be satiny finish; however, it turns matte over a period of time. You can also blot it with paper if you need an instant matte lip look.
Texture and Application: The texture of this liquid lipstick is bit mousse-y and liquid-y. The main difference between ultra-matte and ultra-satin lip colors is that the ultra-satins do not dry completely matte. They dry velvety matte within a few minutes once you apply on the lips, so if there are any errors during application, you can easily correct it. The applicator allows me to have precise application. There is a chemical fragrance to the lipstick which personally doesn’t bother me. Another major difference between the ultra-matte and ultra-satin lip colors is that the latter does not give any kiss-proof, budge-proof finish. It does transfer a lot. However, they are very long lasting. It is advisable to exfoliate your lips to achieve a flawless finish. Ultra satin lip colors do not dry your lips and give a smooth finish. They are the most comfortable liquid lipsticks to wear.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 6 hours without the need to reapply; however, it will start fading if you eat oily meals. Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off, the texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
Pros of ColourPop Asher Ultra Satin Lip:

- Beautiful light pink shade.
- Extremely pigmented.

- Doesn’t crumble.
- Affordable.
Cons of ColourPop Asher Ultra Satin Lip:
- None.
IMBB Rating:
5/5
