Hello darlings, welcome back. What ever you choose to call it, from purple, lavender, orchid, lilac, amethyst, boysenberry, eggplant it’s my favorite color and one of the hottest hues for winter. I’m yet to see anyone who doesn’t look fabulous in purple. Definitely not me.
Even tho we’ve enjoyed a few days of springy weather, its technically still winter and a dark dreary winter weather should never dictate the mood. Add a pop or more of color to brighten your day. I personally am so drawn to the crop of ultra saturated colors minus the reds. Enough said, lol.
So I am officially super excited for Fall/Winter '15/16 just from the conclusion of the NYFW. The 70’s like we expected had a strong presence. Culottes as well as flare bottoms got their grooves back this season and are not going anywhere anytime soon apparently so hang on tight to yours. Fur and fringe are also here to stay so keep fringing in bags, coats, skirts, footwear etc. Glad to see that fur will be big yet again, don’t we all love our fur? As a stole or even just a collar, it adds a huge oomph to your look so fur-on. And if you are an animal rights advocate as a lot of people are, then skip the huge fox fur trend coming down the pike and go for faux. Not much is lost in terms of looks, just carry a lint roller at all times, hehe.
Fashion is really so cyclical, we'll see what will influence the Milan and Paris designers as their fashion weeks approach. My guess is they will be throwback heavy as well. London’s on, more retro vibes? Exciting!
This post shows 2 ways I wore this slouchy coat. With leggings for a simple yet chic look and also with the trending bell bottoms for a spunky look.
By the way, are you watching the Oscars red carpet? Lupita's done it again wearing that fabulous dress with 6000 pearls! Amazing!
Have a fabulous week ahead...
