Hey everyone! I am so excited, I can finally show you some of the photos I took when I was in Prague. I say some because we took in 3 days more than 1000 photos. You can imagine how hard it was to select only a few and show them to you. There will be three posts, and I am going to tell you all about Prague, what you should definitely visit, where to eat, and what places to avoid!
Although I really enjoyed my stay in Prague, I really have to pin point some negative things that you should all be aware of when visiting this amazing city. First of all, be prepared, no one speaks English. Not even a "Hello" or "Thank you"/"You're welcome". And let's not talk about trams and metros, you have to figure out everything by yourself. And the second negative experience, they will screw you over and over again if you are a tourist and don't pay attention! Don't change money in the centre, you might get only half of the value, or you will have to pay "service tax" somewhat around 10-20 euros. Don't eat in the centre, even if the menu says the prices are good, again you will have to pay "service tax" which is around 30 euros (been there, done that!).
If you are planning on visiting Prague, spend an evening on the internet, surf through google and tripadvisor to find the places you would like to visit. We are all different, so you might want to visit other places also. Me and my friend, Nora looked hours and hours on the net where we should go, what we should do and where should we eat. I advice you all to just download the TripAdvisor app to your phone, save some of the pubs and museums, and just simply get lost in the beautiful city. There will be a lot of wifi, so when you want to do something, just search what is nearest to you and go there. That is what we did. I think getting lost in Prague is the most beautiful thing. This city is not so big, you can easily walk around without using public transport. The only time we used metros were when we went in the centre and when we went back to the Hotel.

So here is what we visited on the first day in Prague (in order):
  • Namesti Republiky (you can get there with the B metro)
  • Powder Tower (right in the middle of the "rich town" - that's how we called it)
  • Old town square
  • Charles Bridge
  • John Lennon wall (only a few blogs recommended this place, which is wierd because for me it has been the most memorable place, I almost cried. Don't expect it to be a huge wall, it's a tiny wall surrounded by so much love and great music)
  • Mala Strana (The Little Quarter)
  • Prague Castle (on your way there you will be astonished by the architecture)
Where to eat:
  • Pizza Nuova - it's right in the Namesti Republiky, and the prices I think are pretty OK, I had pizza and black tea, my friend had gnocchi and drank a  lemonade and we payed approximately 12 euros each!
  • My WOK - again in the Namesti Republiky. You can create your own wok, with the ingredients you want. We payed only a few euros for a portion, and it was so freaking delicious. The only problem is that they have little space, so it might be a better idea to just take it and eat it somewhere in the centre, sitting on stairs.
  • Finest Belgian Chocolates - If you want to buy some chocolate gifts, or just simply want to spoil yourself, this is a must! In the evening you get a 50% discount on all chocolate covered fruits, and they are yummy!
I hope if you are thinking of visiting Prague you will find these tips amazing! Stay tuned for two other posts about this beautiful city!

Have a wonderful week!
xoxo,
Saci
