A 7.8 magnitude quake has struck an area of Central Nepal between the capital, Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara.
Avalanches were triggered in India, Bangladesh, Tibet and Mount Everest where victims have also emerged.
Countries around the world including U.S, India, UK, Pakistan, Germany, France, Norway, Spain have offered help and government of Nepal has declared a state of emergency.
U.N. says about 4.6 million people were exposed to tremors from the huge earthquake that struck Nepal.
