Justin Bieber isn't proud of his past, but he is definitely proud of what he has become because of it. The singer-songwriter just took to social media to thank God for the positive change in his life, and his fans were moved by his good news.
On Sunday, Bieber uploaded a side-by-side comparison of his 2014 mug shot and a selfie he took recently. The "What Do You Mean?" hitmaker then stated in his caption that the photo reminds him of the change that has taken place to his life following his dark days in 2014 when he was arrested. "I'm not exactly where I want to be but thank God I'm not where I used to be," JB wrote.
Selena Gomez's ex-boyfriend appeared to be optimistic about his future as he also wrote in the caption: "The best is yet to come do you believe it?" And it seems Bieber was right about this since he's been arrest-free since late 2014 and he's also focused on his working engagements and his music lately.

Back in Jan. 23, 2014, the Canadian pop star was arrested after drag racing in a yellow Lamborghini with a friend. When he was taken into custody, officials said he failed the sobriety test and he also cursed at the authorities. Bieber was then charged with resisting arrest on top of DUI. It as also found out later on that he had marijuana and Xanax while driving, according to Daily Mail.
The "Baby" singer eventually pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and careless driving in his plea deal that asked him to pa a $500 fine. He was also made to complete programs for anger management and drunk driving. Lastly, he made a $50,000 donation to the Our Kids charity.
Prior to his 2014 arrest, Bieber also had other brushes with the law. He previously got into a mess when he and a couple of his friends egged his neighbor's home in Calabasas, California. He was charged with misdemeanor vandalism at the time and was asked to pay $80,900 in restitution aside from completing a 2-year probation, 12-week anger management program and a 5-day community service, according to Us Weekly.
Many fans felt proud of Bieber's progress, so they left positive messages on the singer's Instagram post. "I'm proud of you and will always be. Congratulations … I'm always right by your side," one wrote. "God is always good! It clearly wasn't a good time in ur life, it was dark, sad and painful. But it happened for a reason," another commented.
Bieber is currently working on his fifth album following his triumphant comeback in the music scene with his "Purpose" studio album. His fourth album boasts tracks that broke records, it also became the third best-selling album of 2015, as per E! News.
