Sunday 8th January!!! how did that happen....already into the second week of the new year and two full weeks since Christmas, my goodness how time flies.
Not much doing here at Chelmarsh towers today apart from catching up with the washing and making some fresh bread. We bought this breadmaker a few years ago after our last one broke. It came highly recommended by the ladies on the MSE Old Style Forum and it does such a great job, as well as making our daily bread it makes fantastic pizza dough for those lovely homemade pizza's.
And here is the end result, a lovely light and crusty loaf which will last us 2 days. Any leftover bits usually get made into breadcrumbs for homemade stuffing. My grandaughter loves it warm and spread with "silver butter" she means Lurp@k.Tonights dinner was made from some of the leftover chicken and stuffing from Boxing day which I had frozen in portions. With that we had potato and celeriac mash, swede and carrots, savoy cabbage and gravy. I cooked double veggies so there is plenty left for tomorrow to have with a pork steak.
It was quick to do and very tasty, as its weekend we finished off with a tin of smart price Rice pudding.
Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoyed your Sunday meal as much as I did.
